German Bratwurst topped with curry ketchup served up with crispy fries and topped with more curry ketchup, mayo and curry powder
Have you been to Germany? I had the pleasure of going to Munich earlier this year and I visited Berlin and Osnabruck years ago when I lived abroad. One of my favorite foods I’ve eaten both times I visited was Currywurst. It’s bratwurst in a curry ketchup served with fries and topped with mayo. Fast food that’s so tasty and fresh, it’s actually kinda good for you. I knew after I came back from Munich I had to make this and it hit the spot. It's an easy dish to make and you can't go wrong with the curry ketchup plus more curry powder for garnish.

Serves: 4
Ingredients
4-6 bratwurst
Fries
1 c ketchup
2 T vinegar
2 T curry powder plus garnish
1 T paprika
1/2 t garlic powder
1/2 t onion powder
2 T Worcestershire
Dash of cayenne pepper
1 T sugar
Mayo for garnish
Parsley
Directions
1. Cook bratwurst and fries according to instructions. This will take 15-30 minutes depending on your cooking method for each.
2. Combine all ingredients for curry ketchup.
3. Slice bratwurst and top with ketchup. Sprinkle with curry powder. Serve with fries. Add curry ketchup and Mayo to fries. Garnish with parsley.
